As an Oversight Manager for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), I was deeply engaged in DEIB initiatives. In this role, I developed a detailed governance plan to provide structure and clear goals for the ERGs. I also designed an onboarding program to equip new leaders with the tools they needed to succeed and organized open house events for new hires to learn about the ERGs, their missions, how to get involved, and the benefits of participation.

To support the launch of the first performance management process at Docebo, I developed a workshop to train people managers on delivering effective feedback using the Situation-Behavior-Impact (SBI) feedback model.
The performance management process included a robust framework featuring a cadence for quarterly performance discussions, one-on-one meetings for managers to engage with their team members, and guidance on creating and entering goals in the HRIS. During my time at Extra Space Storage, the COVID-19 pandemic challenged us to pivot quickly. Our Operations and IT teams worked diligently to implement online lease agreements and touch-free systems, ensuring customer and employee safety. As our employees were deemed essential workers, we had to onboard and train store staff efficiently while prioritizing health and safety.
To support this effort, I revamped our new hire welcome packet and created detailed facilitator guides for field trainers. I'm incredibly proud of this work. These updated training tools enabled us to seamlessly train over 1,000 new hires during the pandemic while continuing to exceed company-wide sales goals.
Innovating Field Trainer Development During the Pandemic
The pandemic required us to rethink how we trained new field trainers at Extra Space Storage. Balancing health and safety precautions with the need for effective skill-building, I transitioned our traditional in-person training to a blended learning model. This included introducing virtual instructor-led training (VILT), enabling the Learning and Development team and me to provide high-quality training remotely.
